Parading

turns out

the hills and rivers

I was thinking of you

Delight does not make the heart childish.

were you like me once, long ago,

(o vertigo of carnivals!)

Needing to navigate

the recollection of pronouns freshly cut in the garden of Epicurus, and the garden of Netzahualcoyotl;

Waiting until a car approaches

What things are steadfast? Not the birds.
