But half our life is

If I lived in a railroad car,

Only velvet / growing under velvet, like a leaf hidden

I was there at the edge of Never, / of Once Been, bearing the night’s hide

And the sun shining down like God, loving all of us equally,

We stand up, familiar to ourselves,

(i who have died am alive again today,
