Parading

It’s relentless, the way it keeps trying

I’ve borne witness

A cloister, a silence

Did you see the Appaloosa in the sky?

let it drop like a rope of knotted

How glad I am –

Let me keep company always with those who say

An extra day—

Under what cloud’s pallor

I am the evening light, the lustre of meadows
